🎶 While Ad is busy conjuring sorcery with the E-bow 🪄🎸, Ed has been diving into the second song of the album, “Without Any Shame.” (No shame indeed, Ed! 😜) This track has The Cure vibes all over it—moody, melodic, and deliciously nostalgic. 🎤🎸 And because one can never have too many guitar toys, Ed’s gone ahead and grabbed yet another Kemper profiler pack from Bert Meulendijk. 🎛️💸 Hey, it’s all in the name of art, right? 😅✨
December 5th
🎸 Today’s mission: crafting the second guitar for “Without Any Shame.” The chord progression is finally taking shape (hallelujah 🙌), and we’ve got a pretty solid idea for the opening solo—it’s already giving us goosebumps. 🎶🕺
Now, this song skips the usual bridge for now because, hey, who needs rules? Instead, we’ve gone for an extended chorus that just keeps on giving. 🎤✨ From what I can tell so far, the drums and bass are absolutely crushing it, and the keys? They’re shining brighter than a disco ball at midnight. 🥁🎹💃

Kicking off the new year in style! 🎉🎶 Today, Ad and I wrestled with the bridge—it was like trying to find the last puzzle piece under the couch. 😂 But we nailed it! 💪Next mission: an epic guitar solo that melts faces. 🎸 Then, it’s lyric-writing time (cue the caffeine ☕ and late-night brainstorming).
This song is finally taking the shape we envisioned from the start. It’s unlike anything we’ve done before—completely unique and worlds apart from our other tracks. Stay tuned!

Time to tackle some lyrics! 📝 Ed’s diving into the verses, and if all goes according to plan (fingers crossed 🤞), we’ll be recording vocals today and giving this song its final glow-up. And dare I say… we’re doing it Without Any Shame. 😏🎤

🎶 For the bridge, Ad and I decided to go with a sequenced sound. According to music theory, that’s “the restatement of a motif or longer melodic (or harmonic) passage at a higher or lower pitch in the same voice.” 🎹✨ Sounds fancy, right? Well, in reality, it meant diving into Ad’s hidden archives of a million sounds. Somewhere in there, we found one that sort of worked. It sounded different in my studio, but we recorded it anyway—because, why not? 😂
As for the vocals, they’re down too… kind of. Funny how the moment you hear the lyrics back, you suddenly want to rewrite half of them. 🤦♂️ So, yeah, I’m tweaking the lyrics, which means we’ll be re-recording the verses and choruses. But hey, what else is new? We’ll get there eventually! 🎤🎧💪
